Change Process for Draft Order

Instead of a straight up consolation bracket we could award ping pong balls for a draft lottery. Teams could be awarded balls by the final regular season record and then given a chance to earn additional balls in the consolation bracket. This keeps the bottom teams in it more for a chance at a better pick and a better chance at improving their roster. If you have any other ideas on winning balls like in the final 4 weeks if a bottom 8 team beats a top 8 team they get balls. Just keeps everyone active and gives them more reason to play.

I like it. Gives most needy teams a better chance and still prevents tanking. I'm just concerned about the process of the lottery. How would we do it so it would be 100% random and accessible to everyone?

I did a lottery in one of my baseball leagues and I live streamed it on a Youtube channel for everyone to watch and chat lol.

I love this idea. It's difficult for a bottom 4 team to make a run in the consolation bracket to earn a top pick. It'll be much easier to help those teams rebuild if they have a higher probability to earn a top pick.

Tanking shouldn’t be rewarded but if a team is truly terrible they should have better odds / chance for a higher pick

Ok so I presented this idea from another league I'm in in the chat room and I wanted to copy and paste most of that in here because I'm sure most will miss it in the chat segment lol.

So lets say we expand to 7 playoff teams (another topic being discussed) which oddly enough this league already had in place so the numbers work out well lol....that leaves 9 non playoff teams.
