Salary Cap Minimum Limit

Implement a salary cap minimum limit. Sometimes we see teams trade away so much FAAB because they have determined they aren’t even going to try and play this season...they are planning on the future. So they trade away a ton of salary cap space and really make it to where their team can’t be very competitive that year. There should be a limit to how low you can go. Since we just implement a $350 max cap maybe have a $250 minimum cap just to keep all teams within a range of one another.

I am against this. I operated with a salary below $200 and was still able to win my division.

I would be opposed to this unless the minimum amount was much lower. Maybe $150? That would ensure nobody is trotting out a lineup of all rookies and nobodies, but wouldn't force a team purposely conserving their salary to spend it all on players they don't want. Conserving salary for moves later in the season can be a good strategy.

this just seems unnecessary. Maybe I'm missing something?

no need for this.
i think trading faab away is a good way for bad teams to get assets and become relevant in a couple of years.

I'd actually agree on this topic, but for a min salary cap limit of 200, I believe any team that goes under 1/3 of their budget may be severely handicapping their team for next year, especially if the owner does not return.

I see where you are coming from Philly, but I operated under $200 the entire offseason and season and made the playoffs. It can be done.
