The waiver wire will open tomorrow - Tuesday 9-4-18. This means Tuesday you can begin placing bids on players and Tuesday night into Wed it will run the first FAAB auction to see who is the highest bidder for each claim. Again, do not place a claim until Tuesday.

Today, Monday will be claim testing day. If you want to put in a claim or two to see how the process works, especially if you're new to Fantrax then go ahead and use today to test the system. All claims that process Monday night I will just undo so no worries there. Feel free to place TEST claims today. REAL claims will start tomorrow.

Now Fantrax seems to act a little weird in regards to salary cap leagues with FAAB daily bidding. I can't find a way, and I'm waiting to hear back from support to make sure, to make your salary cap budget your FAAB budget. So if you go to TEAM > TEAM INFO you'll see your salary cap space left and you'll see something called Remaining FA Claim Budget. I had to set an initial amount for the entire league so I set it at 1000 just to be done with it. You really do not need to concern yourself with this number at all because it's your "Salary Left" that is the official number. When you make a claim it will use your "Remaining FA Claim Budget" to bid on, but the winning claim amount becomes the new player's salary and it's deducted from your salary left.

So for instance, if you bid $5 on a player and win him, it will deduct $5 from your FA Claim Budget (which means nothing), but the the player's salary will become $5 and that will be deducted from your salary cap left amount (the part you need to pay attention to). So I just wanted to explain that in case you see 990-something for a FA Claim Budget amount and you go WTF is that. Just ignore it. The number you need to pay attention to is Salary Left.

Also, just a note on that TEAM INFO page...if you scroll down you'll see what each team's current salary cap is along with their salary remaining. Your 2018 Cap can go up and down depending on if you traded for or away FAAB Cap dollars. So if you look at y team for instance (Cowboys) you see $315 cap. That means I've traded for $15 cap dollars thus raises my initial $300 cap to $315. At the end of the 2018 season we all reset to $300.

IMPORTANT: When waivers open on Tuesday you are still not allowed to add any 2018 Rookies (drafted or undrafted FAs) until the Rookie Draft is over. You are welcome to add any other players though (those over or under the 24 GP limit). If they are under the 24 GP limit you can add them to your practice squad. If they are over then they must be added to your 24-man NFL roster.

The minimum amount you can claim a player for is $1. You can bid more to insure you win a player, but remember the winning bid is the new player's salary and gets deducted from your available cap room.

Ask here if you have any questions.
