We can discuss multiple variations of this rule update...
Limit the amount of extra cap space teams can trade for in the offseason before we even have the Draft or Free Agency signing period.
Limit the total amount of extra cap space a team can trade for so teams can't go over their cap by large amounts (like 50 or 60 dollars).
Limit the amount of cap dollars that can be included in a single trade offer.
Or we can discuss making it a hard cap and everyone has to stay at or below the salary cap like in the NFL and there is no going over...period.
Lastly, since we are paying for a future season in advance, we could also do something like if you go over one year you are hit with some sort of penalty the year after.
Discuss....

I agree on a soft limit of 300 for offseason deadlines and reacquisition with the hard limit of 350, so you can acquire 50 in faab but no more
Re: Limit the Amount of Salary Cap Dollars you can trade for
I would second Eagles recommendation.

350 seems like a good number for a hard cap limit.... I dont feel like added restrictions are needed besides that
Re: Limit the Amount of Salary Cap Dollars you can trade for
I agree with $350 max.

I find this proposal unnecessary so I’m against.

I personally think $350 is a good number. We really dont want to allow teams to get that far ahead of the others by trading for a bunch of extra cap space.
I also think we should implement some sort of cap protection in the offseason so guys dont get a bunch of extra salary cap dollars ahead of the draft and free agency signing period. That way we all go into the drafts and FA bidding with a cool $300 budget. After that, we can then enable teams to go above their cap up to 350 to give them flexibility during the season.
I don't think it's necessary, but I wouldn't be opposed either to have a max amount per trade like $20 or $25. That way teams can contribute to paying some of the salary they are trading, but you don't see some of these deals where a team is basically paying all of a $40-60 player in order to trade them.

i dont like the idea of trading Faab cause it goes away from real football so any rule that limits it i am all for it.
yes for me. 350 or less.
