Before you answer YES or NO please read below for some changes that will take effect moving forward. As we continue to grow the league we'll look for more ways to make it better and more competitive. In addition to the changes below we'll also discuss some very minor rules / settings tweaks later this offseason (nothing major), but for now this is the big thing.
For teams that do not return we will create a NFC draft pool and AFC draft pool from those rosters and let new managers come in and do a snake draft to pick players from the pool to build a new team from. The players will retain their original salaries to keep things fair. New teams will retain their current draft positioning.
Ok moving into Season 2 we will be making the following changes:
1) Entry fee moving from $50 to $100. This will give us a larger pot, but more importantly I think it raises the quality of managers in the league and helps keep people more competitive.
Nothing final for the winnings yet, but here's an early possible draft:
3200 total pot.
Points leader (regular season) in each conference (NFC/AFC) will be awarded $100.
Each division champ will be awarded $150.
Winners of the Divisional Round who will face one another in Conference Championship game will be awarded $100 each.
Super Bowl runner up will be awarded $400.
Super Bowl champion will be awarded $1000.
2) Each team will pay a $50 retainer. This is basically an advance on the next season that is being held. If a team decides to leave to the league and they give proper notice and have left their team in good shape then the retainer will be refunded to the manager. However, if a manager quits mid-season or quits with their team in bad shape then the retainer will not be refunded and will be used to offer the new replacement manager a discount. "Bad shape" means trading all of your draft picks and rookies in an attempt to go for it all now and when that fails you just bail. This will be determined by our Competition Committee (details on that later).
3) To hold / transfer retainers and to stop the stupid refund of fees that Fantrax does we will probably start using LeagueSafe (or if someone knows of a better service) for our league finances.
4) With the retainer in place we will start allowing future draft picks 2 years out to be traded. This means in 2019 you will be able to trade for/away draft picks in the 2019 draft as well as 2020 and 2021. Without the retainer we only allowed one year in advance to be traded.
----
So if you are still on board with those changes then please reply YES below. If you are not then please let us know by saying NO. I need to finalize our replacement teams list soon so we can begin interviewing the list of people I have for new managers. That way we can get the new guys up to speed, redraft those teams, talk about any potential rules tweaks, and then open offseason trading.
It always takes a good 3-4 years to get a league like this performing at near optimal levels, but I think we had a fantastic first season. We just need a few guys to step up on the being active department and this league could be truly special.
Please post your reply by Jan 1st, 2019. Failure to reply may result in you losing your spot in the league.
Thanks guys!

Re: Coming back for Season 2?
Let's change item 2 - the $50 retainer.
The retainer is only a safe guard to help protect teams from selling out their future and then leaving the league and leaving their team in a crappy state moving forward. So we'll just say instead of forcing everyone to pay the retainer it will only be triggered when teams elect to trade away a future draft pick. So if you decide to trade away a future pick you will first need to make a 50% deposit ($50) towards your next year's entry fee. That way the safe guard is in place in case you leave.
That $50 could be used to discount the team for the following season if the league majority thinks it should be or if it is determined the team is fine moving forward, even with the traded pick, and a new manager can be brought in at full price then that $50 deposit will just roll into the winnings pot as extra for that season.
Since the safeguard is there we'll still keep item #4 - you can still trade draft picks two years out.
